30 Gallon Per Day, 5-stage R/O System The Sierra drinking water system offers leading edge reverse osmosis technology and performance with a compact, economical unit The Sierra's five-stage process utilizes a reverse osmosis membrane and pre- and post-filters to remove up to 98% of all salts, "hard-water" minerals, and other dissolved and suspended solids.
The manifold design, color- coded filters, and matching quick-connect tubing make filter changes clean and simple. The Sierra membrane cartridges are 100% factory tested before they are sealed and shipped dry. Nimbus Reverse Osmosis Systems produce clean delicious water for just pennies a day for drinking, ice cubes, coffee, tea, cooking, household appliances, and houseplants.
Each system incorporates five stages of purification:
- STAGE I: 5 Micron Particulate Pre-Filter - Removes dirt, sediment, sand and other physical particles.
- STAGE II: Granulated Activated Carbon Pre-Filter - Reduces chemicals, such as chlorine, that may be in your water supply.
- STAGE III: Ultra Filtration - Removes microscopic particles such as bacteria cysts algea, toxic metals (lead, mercury and arsenic).
- STAGE IV: Reverse Osmosis - Reduces 93%-98% of dissolved mineral salts and other contaminates in your potable water supply.
- STAGE V: Carbon Post-Filter - A polishing process that removes tastes and odors out of the water.
